A happy sign that Spring is on the way from the kindergarten garden. Our little ones will have planted this crocus back in November, perhaps after a song about a little brown bulb asleep in the ground. Children aged 3 – 6 immerse themselves in doing, so engaging them in regular seasonal activities means that they inadvertently learn about the cycle of the year whilst having a lot of fun.

January 6th, 2010
We had a work day at the school on 5th January 2010, when teachers, parents and friends of the school got together to make the buildings ready for the new term – such cleaning, scrubbing and hammering! A great turnout . What’s more two pupil chefs from class 7 (aged 13) cooked lunch – a huge cauldron of delicious soup! Thanks to everyone who took part!

September 23rd, 2009Every year we try to do something different for our Summer Fair and this year parents created an experience which we hope will give pleasure to local children for years to come – a maze made from fabric. In the centre of the maze (provided participants could find that of course) a tent with a wishing tree in it – with a helpful person giving out paper and pens and helping visitors hang up their secret wishes. We couldn’t guarantee to make all the wishes come true, but everyone had great fun and this clip on youtube gives a small taste of the experience. Follow this link to move through the maze: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBgI2rShwxM
