Rudolf Steiner’s theories on education, based on child development, have been used in Steiner Waldorf schools for almost 100 years. Steiner Waldorf has continued to grow into the largest independent educational movement worldwide , with over 1,000 schools and 1,600 kindergartens. For instance there are Schools in Liberia, Tanzania and Egypt and award-winning schools in Moscow (visit link: http://www.grainway.ru/).
Waldorf Schools are part of much wider community of activities that have been inspired by Anthroposophical Teaching and Research. These include the Camphill Community movement (education, community houses, and villages supporting people with special needs) , businesses like Weleda (Natural medicines and bodycare products), Myriad (Natural Toys and Crafts) and the growing movement for ethical and sustainable human activity including: the Biodynamic Agricultural Association, Triodos Bank, The Biodynamic Land Fund, Association for Social development, Centre for Associative Economics and the Life Science Trust.
