Discussion mailing list
The school's email discussion list is available for use by parents, teachers, staff and friends. Anyone wishing to take part must first subscribe to the list by visiting the mailing list page. Subscribers can view the list archive.
Please note that:

subscription requests will be ignored if the applicant does not also email the
to introduce themselves and say why they wish to join the list.

subscription requests should include the subscriber's real name

list membership details are kept private
-
list archives are not publicly accessible
Also, please read these important points of etiquette:

introduce yourself when you arrive

make regular use of the list and speak up—your contribution is important

remove extraneous clutter (such as sigs and headers) from replies
-
set your mail client to quote properly, so it's clear who's said what (in other words, no "top posting"!)

do not post personal contact details without permission from the person concerned

keep your password private
-
do not create a new post by modifying a reply (it will still be part of the original thread even if the subject line is changed)

if anyone wishes to post announcements to the list but does not want to subscribe, this can be arranged

encourage others to use the list and be helpful to other users
-
be excellent to one another
